Johanna (Creative Director) has created such a wonderful example of youth theatre at its best. Little Seed is a home for our young people.

Her Programs don’t just teach performance skills – they build confidence, empathy and a real sense of belonging that clearly stays with her students for life.

Her students are long term - many having been with her for ten plus years.

Johanna’s calm, professional and inclusive approach gives her students far more than an after-school activity. She is nurturing future performers who are thoughtful, kind humans, and creating a community where they learn they can use their voices, lift up others learning to use their voices and to make a difference in the community on and off the stage. We are thankful for her heart, her skills and experience - all of which she shares so freely.

Little Seeds’ holiday program is absolutely fantastic and inclusive of children that may be shy, get stage fright and need a lot of reassurance. I cannot fault the team- they are angels!

The kiddies had a 5 day holiday program in Caloundra & considering all being so young they sure delivered. Was nice to see the kids having fun & helping each other & delivered a wonderful performance. Highly recommend.

Five stars cannot signify the impact this school had on my life. I made lifelong friends, I found a home and had an escape from the awful reality of my early teenage years. This was a time where the classrooms shifted and the product was very grass-roots, and yet it persisted through all adversity to eventually become the best youth theatre group in queensland; thanks to the persistence of its teacher. So if you have kids who struggle to fit in, are having a hard time at school, or have interests in being on stage, please consider enrolling them into this school, my lived experience was that it was the only thing I looked forward to each week, as I could express myself, meet my odd friends and have a fantastic time.

What can I say! Our daughter LOVES Little Seed! Our daughter who is 12 has also been involved in multiple classes during term and would do this full time if she was allowed! Little Seed has a special culture which is kind, caring and inclusive. Unlike school I have never heard tales of unkind behaviour, only joyous tales of fun, improvisation and excitement! This is terrific for children’s development and confidence!

Every Little Seed event is professional and entertaining! My partner and I always shake our heads and ask each other “how do they do it?” This is a special company that we are always impressed by enjoying magical experiences every time, so if your child enjoys performing or would even like to try it out I 150% recommend Little Seed Theatre Company!
