Secondary Film Workshop
December 14-16 | 9-3pm Daily | $280 | Location: Tewantin Anglican Church
(Open to Grade 6 - 12 Students in 2026)
A 3 day immersive screen acting course offered to students of high school age, designed to give students an in-depth understanding of what it is like to work as a professional screen actor in today’s industry. Key areas covered:
Screen Language - dissecting the world of filmmaking as it applies to the actor. From familiarity with terminology through to knowledge of how a set works and what to expect. An introduction to the industry, exploring an actors journey from securing representation through to the audition process and role offers. We will dive into real world audition preparation and tips including a strong focus on the art of the Self Tape.
Scene Analysis - students will explore different techniques and approaches to break down a scene and find their way into character. Students will perform at least 2 heavily workshopped two-hander scenes.
Playback - Students will have ample time to watch their work back in real time with feedback from the teachers. They will have the chance to refine their work and apply this in additional takes. Students will leave the workshop with at least 2 filmed scenes delivered via Google Drive.

Terms and Conditions
By enrolling in a Holiday program you are agreeing to the following
All Holiday Program tuition includes a non-refundable deposit of $50.00. This fee is to be paid upfront at the point of enrolment to secure your place. Please note that if you do not pay this fee at the time of enrolment, your spot is not secure and may be filled. Remaining tuition will be added to your account balance and is due one week advance of the program start date.
In the event you need to cancel your booking, please contact our team immediately. No show participants will be charged the full program tuition. Cancellation 7 days or more prior to a program will result in a choice between refund or credit excluding the deposit. Cancellation within 7 days of the program will result in a credit excluding the deposit. The deposit charged is per student, not per family as this is part of the full tuition. Please ensure prior to booking that you are able to make the dates of the program. In the event a credit has been applied to your account, this can not be exchanged for a refund.
Tuition for all holiday programs is due one week in advance of the program start date. If tuition is not paid by this date, we will be in contact to confirm whether you will be attending or not. The place may be forfeited and given to someone on the waitlist.
Students must be collected promptly at the end each day/session. Additional information will be communicated regarding the end of week of showcase (if applicable) and pickup time on the final day.
For our 5 day primary holiday workshops, there will be a in house performance at 2pm on the final day of the workshop to showcase the work created throughout the week. Information regarding this performance will be communicated to parents during the week of the program.
Little Seed staff will be on premises 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the program each day. Please do not drop your child off before this time as we can not guarantee they will be supervised.
Students are required to bring pre-packed morning tea, lunch and water for each day of the workshop.
Little Seed Holiday programs abide by the same code of conduct outlined in our Student Handbook. No abuse, harassment or bullying is tolerated at all. If a student is removed from a program for one of these reasons, no refund will be issued. This document is emailed to you upon registration.
